Good morning folks! The JCast is back with episode six featuring the AudioVillains. On this weeks episode we were minus a villain do to a MAN-lorette party. We asked what it involved but didn’t get an answer but according to the Urban Dictionary, a manlorette party is, “a bachelorette party for Ice Kings.” If you didn’t know, then now you know and knowing is half the battle. Our good friend Carlos showed up to the Ingarden Studios to sit in for Mike and while he was under the assumption that we would be recording only, he was given a surprise when I mentioned we would be streaming live from ustream. It was an excellent night and we laughed until we cried and our stomachs hurt. It was mostly at the expense of Carlos who is now known as Tree Beard, the ent from the Lord of the Rings Trilogy. Make sure to listen, share, and comment! Also tune in on ustream when we broadcast live for episode 7. The live broadcast will be the raw and unedited version which makes for a good time. Have a good one and as always you can email us at firstname.lastname@example.org or simply click the black “contact” button on the left to fill out the form. Cheers!Post Views: 18
Good afternoon everyone! The AudioVillains are back with episode 22 on Jabber Log! This week we reflect on the tragedy that occurred in Newtown, CT. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all that have been affected by this. We spoke on it for a while before switching to a more happy topic. This past weekend I shared my weekend with the family where we broke out in song to Mr. Big’s, “To Be With You.” We touched on movies, movie trailers, and how I apparently look like a Furbee with a hat. Many laughs were shared and we about messed ourselves while laughing. Make sure to listen and share to everyone you know. You can also check into my new Kickstarter venture. The project consists of a live podcast that features 9-1-1 dispatchers telling their stories, what they’ve been through and the calls they’ve taken. As always you can email us at email@example.com or hit the black button on the left. Cheers!Post Views: 17
Hello folks! Recently I have been talking about Kickstarter and a new project I have been working on based on my Within the Trenches segment on Jabber Log. For those who don’t know about this segment, it’s based on my experience as a 9-1-1 operator. I have shared stories from the beginning of my career where the first real call I took was face-to-face when the chief was on his way out on my first night alone off training and a lady ran in yelling that her husband had killed himself. Within the Trenches has evolved over the past year with stories that have gone from text to audio and video.
This segment has been a big draw for my blog and ever since I started in this profession I have wanted to show people what we do and what we go through. With this new project on Kickstarter, I will do just that…well with your help, I will do just that. For those who don’t know what Kickstarter is, I have included an excerpt from their site. In their own words,
“Kickstarter is a funding platform for creative projects. Everything from films, games, and music to art, design, and technology. Kickstarter is full of ambitious, innovative, and imaginative projects that are brought to life through the direct support of others.
Since our launch on April 28, 2009, over $350 million has been pledged by more than 2.5 million people, funding more than 30,000 creative projects.”
With that said I am trying to raise $1,500 for the equipment needed in order to make the show come to life. There are some guidelines that need to be followed though. This project campaign will last until Friday Jan 11, 10:35pm. So what that means is that I have until that date and time to raise the funds. No one will be charged until that day but here’s the thing. Kickstarter is an all or nothing deal so if I am unable to make my goal I get nothing and you don’t get charged. This is good and bad in a sense but if it goes south then it wasn’t meant to be. Some incentives for pledging money to make this project a reality are rewards. I will provide a link that will show all the rewards offered for pledges below. The shirts with the Within the Trenches logo are already sought out so pledge while you can. Thank you very much for your consideration and help. I hope this show can become a reality and that our stories behind the mic will educate and inspire you.Post Views: 15
