Hello everyone! Whitney and I are back with an epic episode 18 of Within the Trenches. It has been about a month or so since Whit and I were together for an episode but we are back to hook you up with another excellent show. This week both Whitney and I have been battling some health issues but my minor cold and Whit’s ear were unable to hold us back. On this episode we had the pleasure of interviewing none other than the very popular KMK of Diary of a Mad Dispatcher. KMK shared some awesome stories from her dispatch career including her very first 9-1-1 call and another call from a drunk who called in saying that he had fallen off a cliff but what he didn’t realize was that there are no cliffs in the area he was in. Get ready to hear from the Mad Dispatcher herself and make sure to check her out on Facebook and her t-shirt store on etsy.com by searching “The Mad Dispatcher.” As always you can email the show at firstname.lastname@example.org and ‘Like’ our new Facebook page! In this episode I said it was just Within the Trenches but it’s actually Within the Trenches Podcast. Cheers!

This is a special episode that you don’t want to miss. In this episode my wife Rebecca joins me to chat about what it was like for her during my time working as a 9-1-1 dispatcher. Not many people know this but as a dispatcher you miss out on all kinds of family time. You will more than likely work days, nights, weekends, holiday’s and some people work forced overtime. This episode is an #IAM911 story, but from the spouses side.
As always if you have any comments, questions or you would like to be a guest on the show, send an email to email@example.com.

New images have surfaced regarding this bizarre incident out of Miami, FL. I must warn you that the images are gruesome and NSFW (Not Safe For Work).
It appears that other bizarre incidents have been going on in Florida as well. People coming down with mysterious rashes, violent rages, and lock downs with hazmat teams have been popping up according to buzzfeed.com. Make sure to check out their site for a complete timeline. If this is the beginning then you better check out the CDC’s PDF on Zombie Survival! Good luck and godspeed!
Odd things happen all the time. Sometimes there are no explanations. People start going crazy and we look for an answer. Could it be a change in weather? Has their been a disturbance in the force? Is it a full moon or should some things be left unanswered? Well, in Miami something very odd occurred. According to the Miami Herald, “a road ranger saw a naked man chewing on another man’s face.” The altercation was described as being a “scene as creepy as a Hannibal Lecter movie.”
The story alone is gruesome but what made it more interesting are how many shots it took to take down the assailant. The Herald reported that,
“The officer, who has not been identified, approached and, seeing what was happening, also ordered the naked man to back away. When he continued the assault, the officer shot him, police sources said. The attacker failed to stop after being shot, forcing the officer to continue firing. Witnesses said they heard at least a half dozen shots.”
It’s hard not to speculate on what caused the altercation between the two men. One would think that this is the beginning of a zombie apocalypse but the Herald reports that the police have a theory. “Police theorize the attacker might have been suffering from “cocaine psychosis,” a drug-induced craze that bakes the body internally and often leads the affected to strip naked to try and cool off.”
Whether it was a “cocaine psychosis” or a zombie, there is one quote that relates to the incident,
“You know, if you die first, I am definitely going to eat you. The question is, if I die first, what are you going to do? Bon Appetit.” – Colhoun (IMDb: Ravenous – 1999)Post Views: 439
