Good morning! I hope you are ready for a few stories from America’s hat. This week on Within the Trenches, Bobbi of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) joined us for episode 9 over Skype. Her stories and training were not only interesting but if I had started out my dispatching career in her center I might have gone insane. I mean, think about it,
“911 where is your emergency?”
“I have a bear in my yard!”
“An avalanche just slammed down in the area!”
Yeah…that would have been pretty crazy but I’m sure it would have been fun and an experience to take a call like that. The episode was fully balanced with humor, seriousness, and all around AWESOME! As always you can email us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we are currently seeking sponsors for the show. We are also seeking more people to participate and we do have an open call event on Facebook so make sure to check that out.
We are looking for people that bleed dispatch and want to share their experience and story with not only us but also all of our listeners. Sell it to us and let us know why you would be a good choice for the show. Whitney and I firmly believe that everyone has a great story to tell and everyone is important but we are looking for those who really want to be on the show. So this is what you need to do if you want to apply to be on the show.
- Join/attend our open call
- Become a fan of Jabber Log on Facebook and send us a message through there with your experience, any memorable stories and why you should be on the show.
- Oh! And please leave a good email address/contact info in case we are unable to reach you through Facebook.
In the end, it’s all about you, the unsung hero’s of emergency services. It’s your story and we want to help tell it. Make sure to listen, share and if you would like to learn more about the RCMP and a new Facebook page that highlights the 9-1-1 dispatchers of Canada, please follow the links below. Without further ado, I present to you the ninth episode of Within the Trenches.

For over 15 years Post Family Farm has offered all types of fun activities. According to michigan.org, the farm is, “an 80-acre reminder of life’s simple pleasures.” The farm was purchased by Bill & Etta Post in 1969, says their official web site, but it wasn’t until 15 years ago that the farm held it’s first Fall Festival. According to their official web site, Post Family Farm offers, “U-pick pumpkins, hayrides, bonfires, homemade pumpkin donuts, corn mazes and more.” Jabber Log recently visited Post Family Farm, as seen in the video below, for it’s Fall Festival and met with the owner and manager to discuss the activities.Post Views: 367

This morning I was on a run for coffee and doughnuts and I heard something interesting on my favorite morning radio show. What I heard was unbelievable and I thought I should write something about it and see what your thoughts are on it. Do you remember Percy from The Green Mile? If not he was the pissy, shitty little man who smashes the mouse and tells the guy that there is no mouse heaven. In the end he ends up murdering the pedophile and goes insane. A perfect ending for such a jerk of a character. Well it appears that he has a new role, in real life that is, as a husband. Congrats on the marriage but there is something odd about this. His blushing bride is rather young and when I say young, I mean statutory rape young. Doug Hutchison (Percy) married a 16 year old named Courtney Stodden. As you can see from the picture she doesn’t look like she’s 16 but she is in fact that age. In Las Vegas the legal marrying age is 18, however, with parental consent the age drops to 16.
So what do you think about this marriage? Do you think it’s real or fake? The couple insists that they are in love and her parents say that the 51 year old is wonderful but can there be more to this? I have heard that back in the day it was perfectly legal and normal for an older man to marry a teenager but eventually society deemed it out of the norm and taboo. What happened back then that made it cool and now it’s wrong? I know it sounds as though I might be behind this guy but I’m not. There is no amount of money that I would except to let my 16 year old daughter marry an older man. Had she been of age I don’t think it would matter at all and I wouldn’t be typing this post. Maybe I’m wrong though, maybe they are happily married but something just seems off. Maybe he’s the victim here and not her. He does seem rather punchy and they could all be taking him for what he has. I don’t know how true any of it could be but the couple believes that love is ageless so are they right? Let me know what you think people.Post Views: 552
