Good afternoon and welcome back to an awesome episode of the AudioVillains Podcast. Right off the bat I have to give a shoutout to the man himself, Joey “CoCo” Diaz, an amazing talent and comedian. He is going to be at Dr. Grins this Saturday April 12 and we are heading out to see his show. We are going to be at the 8pm show and maybe we can get him to spend a little time with for an episode of humor and knowledge. We would love to have you on the show and if not I know we will have a good time at yours.
On this episode we visit a time when Joey Lawrence was making music and breaking hearts while becoming a man on Beauty and the Beach, a spring break pageant during MTV’s spring break special. We also visit the time of $2,000 sound systems in $400 cars and the Ed Lover dance. This episode is a must listen so check it out and share! As always you can email the show at email@example.com.

Hello and welcome to another edition of Tech Thursday on Jabber Log. Today we welcome “ram0527”, a new addition to the team who will be contributing to all things, “Tech”. His first assignment was to tackle the mighty and very popular, “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3”. So without further ado I present, ram0527.
I’m a little nervous about this…this is my first blog post ever, so don’t be too harsh on me. I’m known as ram0527 and I will be talking about Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3. Yes, I know the game has been out since November 8th excalty 2 weeks to the date, but I am here to give my honest, but late, opinion about it. The first thing I noticed was the graphics (of course). These graphics are magnificent. The attention to detail that Activision puts into the game is amazing. The ripples in the water, the vains on the hands, the explosions, I can go on for days about the details and how awesome they are , but we have a lot more to talk about. Modern Warfare now has auto aim. Which is a great idea, while playing the campaign or special ops but for online play it sucks. Moving on, the games story is moderate. I’ve never been into story lines, but I liked this story line. It kinda makes you think that one day this can happen…. Anywho, you continue from the end of where Modern Warfare 2 left off and takes you across the world from Europe, to Africia, to Russia. You see some old faces and some new people during game play, the missions are also better and harder. My favorite mission is the one where you are on the plane and you have to save the russian president and his daughter. The way the plane hits turbulance and you fly through the air (in slow motion) shooting the bad guys…Man, after that I fell in love!
Ok….ok, like I said earlier I don’t want to give to much away, so onto the online playing. If you can get away with it, play as much as you can. These maps are harder and the game play is faster. The maps were designed with perfection. Not a whole lot of places to camp out or snipe through the whole match. You have to man up and search for other players. But be careful, because there are spots and they are really good spots. Last but not least, the special ops game play. If you chose to finally get off online playing, play the special ops menu. You have 2 options, missions and survival. First the missions, I personally don’t play the missions because if you beat the campaign you already played the missions. Don’t care for it so I don’t have much to say about it. Like my mom always said, “If you don’t have anything nice to say, then don’t say anything at all.” The survival mode is my absolute favorite! I’d rather play survival then play online. You only have one mission in survival…..survive! Just like zombies in Call of Duty: Black Ops you must face waves upon waves of enemies, but these enemies have guns, exploding dogs, suicide bombers, juggernauts and many more. There are 3 stages with 5 different levels ranging from easy to insane. To make things even better you must start out with a handgun and you have to earn everything. That right there is what makes me love this game even more and more. If you haven’t played this game yet, what’s the matter with you? Go and buy it right now. Well I hope my first blog post wasn’t too bad for you guys. Thanks for giving me a chance.
Make sure to check back every Thursday for all things tech from our writers Gamer LCM, ram0527, and Commando Chando. To pump you up even more for this game is a trailer with all the goodness that is Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. Cheers!Post Views: 109

Welcome to episode 97 of Within the Trenches. A few days ago I received numerous tweets and Facebook messages asking if there was going to be a Halloween themed show. I thought about it and thought about it and finally decided I would do one. I was trying to figure out what I was going to do and a good friend of mine told me about some creepy and scary 9-1-1 calls she heard from a YouTube channel. I checked them out and they are pretty crazy. They reminded me of when I was in dispatch and the crazy stuff I would hear so I decided to use the tapes. I will give full credit to those who put the calls together below so make sure to check them out for other videos.
I want to make sure that everyone knows that I am not making light of the emergency situations. The calls are meant to educate and show the reality of 9-1-1 dispatch. Others may have a dark sense of humor and if you do well, that usually means you have worked or know someone who has come from the chair. At the end of the episode you will get to hear about some new things going on with the show and a scholarship I want to put together for the 2016 National NENA conference. I’m currently looking for sponsors so if you want in on it please let me know.
As always if you have any questions or would like to be a guest on the show, send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.

Hello folks! Recently I have been talking about Kickstarter and a new project I have been working on based on my Within the Trenches segment on Jabber Log. For those who don’t know about this segment, it’s based on my experience as a 9-1-1 operator. I have shared stories from the beginning of my career where the first real call I took was face-to-face when the chief was on his way out on my first night alone off training and a lady ran in yelling that her husband had killed himself. Within the Trenches has evolved over the past year with stories that have gone from text to audio and video.
This segment has been a big draw for my blog and ever since I started in this profession I have wanted to show people what we do and what we go through. With this new project on Kickstarter, I will do just that…well with your help, I will do just that. For those who don’t know what Kickstarter is, I have included an excerpt from their site. In their own words,
“Kickstarter is a funding platform for creative projects. Everything from films, games, and music to art, design, and technology. Kickstarter is full of ambitious, innovative, and imaginative projects that are brought to life through the direct support of others.
Since our launch on April 28, 2009, over $350 million has been pledged by more than 2.5 million people, funding more than 30,000 creative projects.”
With that said I am trying to raise $1,500 for the equipment needed in order to make the show come to life. There are some guidelines that need to be followed though. This project campaign will last until Friday Jan 11, 10:35pm. So what that means is that I have until that date and time to raise the funds. No one will be charged until that day but here’s the thing. Kickstarter is an all or nothing deal so if I am unable to make my goal I get nothing and you don’t get charged. This is good and bad in a sense but if it goes south then it wasn’t meant to be. Some incentives for pledging money to make this project a reality are rewards. I will provide a link that will show all the rewards offered for pledges below. The shirts with the Within the Trenches logo are already sought out so pledge while you can. Thank you very much for your consideration and help. I hope this show can become a reality and that our stories behind the mic will educate and inspire you.Post Views: 26
