Hello everyone, I am back this week with a quick bonus episode of Within the Trenches. In this episode I gave condolences on behalf of Whitney and the show for those who were involved in the Boston Marathon Bombing. Our thoughts and prayers go out to them and we salute emergency services and especially the 9-1-1 dispatchers. This week is National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week and although we didn’t do a full episode we still wanted to honor one of our own. Deb Pallett has been recently recognized for her 30 years of service with Allegan County Central Dispatch. She has done great work and continues to do so. I have had the pleasure to work with Deb and it has always been a good time. It has also been interesting and I have learned a lot from her. This episode includes an interview I did with Deb and our Assistant Director Tammy for a class assignment where Deb tells her story of survival from breast cancer. This bonus episode is a must listen and there is also some info for those who want to be guests on an episode of Within the Trenches and conferences that are coming up. As always you can email the show at email@example.com.

Jabber Log has recently hit 9,909 views. I can’t tell you how happy I am to be doing this and that I’ve reached this number. I have shared stories that have made you laugh, reflect, and maybe even grossed you out a little. The main thing is that you were able to laugh and get a kick out of my hijinks. I thank you very much for reading and as I’ve said before, there is more to come. With that said, I have decided to add a blog roll to my blog. This will hold links to other blogs that I have come across on WordPress and the point is to help others by being seen on my blog. I feel that by doing this I can not only help others but help myself as well. I love writing and if it was up to me I would do it as a career but I’m not sure how to swing it just yet.
I have hit some milestones with Jabber Log and I can’t even begin to tell you how happy I was when I landed on the “Freshly Pressed” section of WordPress. My numbers exploded with the post, “Saturday Morning Cartoons…I miss you.” I was on the homepage of WordPress for about a day or so and the discussion between readers was excellent. It was amazing to read about others and their memories on something that I remember fondly. Next up in my line of milestones was getting the opportunity to design a banner for none other than Jackie, a beautiful and talented DJ with WGRD. She had seen my blog and dug my banner design and asked how I had done it. I jumped at the chance to explain and offered my services. We have kept in contact since then and I even featured her in a post titled, “A Jackie of all trades“. The next milestone involved a very talented, up and coming Country singer/song writer named Maddie Larkin. I was given the opportunity to type up a post featuring her and her debut album, “Letters From My Cold Heart“. I was more than honored to do this and the album is a must listen for fans of all music. If I had to choose one song to headline as the top single of her album I would choose, “Give it up”. My words cannot do the song enough justice so you will have to check it out for yourself. Believe me, you will not be disappointed.
More opportunities are coming my way and I am enjoying every moment of it. I have some new ideas involving social experiments. I had a lot of fun doing them and I’m thinking about getting your ideas on what you would like to see from me or if you happen to do some, I can then post it on Jabber Log. There are more ideas being thrown around and as they come I will post them up. If you would like to be featured in a post please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org and give me some information about yourself and why you would like a feature. You can spread the word on your new band, album, artwork, stories, events, or your personal blog. If you would like to be part of my blog roll let me know by email or comment here. We can help each other out with mutual adds and spread the word. Thank you very much to all those who have read and continue to read Jabber Log. Thank you very much to those I have featured and visit them by clicking their links below. Keep on reading and let’s “Come together…right now.”Post Views: 498
