Soundtrack to my life: Episode III

The other day I heard a song on the radio and I flashed back to one of the worst days of my life. The song is a very good one and is by one of my favorite bands, Pink Floyd. Their song "Wish You Were Here" not only reminds me of that day but I listened to it a lot afterward and it helped to comfort me in a way. Even now I am listening to it as I type this. My entire blog has been meant to be humorous and tell stories of my life and the world so in no way am I trying to be a downer by typing this Read more [...]

Preparing for the Riffraff

If you didn't know already my wife is expecting our second child and we're having a girl. Lola Mae Martinez will be making her debut around September 1st and I can't help but wonder about the future. OMG! This is a girl not a boy!

As you can tell from my picture I'm in a state of shock. This morning while helping my wife clean the carpets I realized something; we're having a girl not a boy! I don't know what to do with a baby girl! I have two sons and changing them and what not was easy. I believe this was easy because we're the same gender but this is completely different so I'm a little tripped out. So let's see here; I have never used cloth diapers and I will be changing my daughter as much as possible to become an expert Read more [...]

Had it been the end…

If you didn’t know, the world was supposed to end this past Saturday. Although no one believed it to begin with I bet some of you were thinking about what you might do if in fact the world did end. I know I thought about what I might do or say. So what would you have done? Stop reading and sit a minute. Think about everything you might have wanted to do, if you were able to, in those last moments. Had it been the end and there were only a few moments left, I would pray with my family. I would Read more [...]
